Reconstruction

If I may lay there,
like a glowing ember.

What once was a house,
now reduced to small.

A piece of wood,
set on fire,
with nothing left to burn.

God picks me up,
puts me in a pit,
of other embers,
so I will not die.

There He will reconstruct me,
of something indestructible,
with a glowing ember heart,
organic and inorganic,
a new and spiritual house.

The heart of flesh,
is what remains of my humanity,
the treasure God has sought.

Uncovered by the fire,
that destroyed my self,
now lives in me.

Burning,
but no longer consuming,
like the bush.

God may speak.

This is the Church.
